Life update post

Where to even start? A lot has happened in the last three years. I feel like an entirely different person.

My family and I have endured so much loss and change. My mum AND my soul dog Rory passed away in 2025. Within three months of each other. I still occasionally text mum, even though I know she won’t answer. Not only that, but I can’t bring myself to delete her contact info from my phone. I take great comfort from feeling Rory’s spirit pop in sometimes.

Let’s see what else has happened? Some friendships faltered and repaired themselves. Others have ended entirely. I’m sad, but I was putting so much of myself into helping and loving them, while getting nowhere. I just didn’t have the emotional bandwidth to continue. So I walked away from three separate people I really cared for.

My sister’s MS has worsened. I am now not the only person in the family, who uses a wheelchair. She’s adapted amazingly, to be fair. I’m so proud of her. I’m so glad we got to see Howard Jones together when we did. Seeing her meet her teenage idol, is a memory I hold very dear.

So, regarding pets. I’m now a proud mum to two Budgies. I named them after Guy Bailey and Spike Gray from the Quireboys. I recently got Spike’s autograph via a friend who met him. I was so happy, I cried! Sadly, Guy passed away last year. Cancer can suck a gorillas hairy asshole. It’s taken so many people I love.

I plan to get a Cockatiel in the future. My longtime dream bird<3

My beautiful Rory.

Hello all —- Welcome to my blog.

I have to be honest, I procrastinate a lot. I don’t know how often I’ll pop in here and write. I promise I’ll do my best to keep things up to date.

Halloween was my beloved dog’s 12th birthday. Rory has been the best decision I’ve ever made for myself. He’s a shar pei with a beautiful brindle coat. He’s so loving and gentle. we’ve grown and grown old together. I love him more, than any human I’ve ever put my trust in.

He has his issues:- Namely peeing in the house when it rains and not being keen on delivery drivers. Besides those two things, I consider Rory my mother’s greatest gift to me. (besides being a great parent of course) Rory’s birth Mum was my Mum’s dog and he is the last surviving pup from her last litter. She has also passed away.  So you see, Rory has out-lived them all. He’s just that special.

Happy Birthday Ba-Ba! I love you xx
